Neuro-Trauma Informed Mindfulness
Meditation builds an increased capacity for resilience and is one of the best tools for healing from trauma. Meditation can also be particularly challenging and sometimes activating for those of us who are living with sustained stress (such as living through a pandemic, experiencing historical trauma, or learning about crimes against a whole group of people) or who have a history of trauma. Working with internal resources, or external resources can help to make meditation more accessible. You can do this as a stand-alone activity, and you can also come back to it as a practice of pause during any other meditation to find your footing and then return to the meditation practice from a more resourced, available place.
