Colossus of Rhodes

The Colossus of Rhodes was the tallest statue in Antiquity and a triumph of ancient engineering and ingenuity. In tonight's story, I will tell you about the historical context that decided the Rhodians to erect such a large statue in honor of their patron god, Helios. I also discuss how it was achieved and what happened to it.
