However, in 2016, the same year that Sophia was named by Forbes as one of the richest self-made women in the world, Nasty Gal filed for bankruptcy. Since Nasty Gal's bankruptcy, Sophia has founded 'Girlboss Media', an online community providing mentoring and support for women worldwide.
