During yoga nidra, we invoke our Sankalpa. For simplicity, consider a Sankalpa as a resolute vow that you make to yourself to connect you with your heart's deepest longing, your true heartfelt desire. This can be a wish for health, healing, or awakening. In the state of yoga nidra, we can state our Sankalpa in the form of words, images, or as a felt sense to become intimately familiar with this deep heartfelt desire. This shorter practice will help us access the sacred heart space to plant the seeds of our Sankalpa in between formal yoga nidra sessions. Feel your Sankalpa to be true in this very moment. Know that it has already come to pass. Repeat it three times with full awareness and emphasis. Continue practicing again and again.
