Sensory Motor Amnesia (coined by the late Thomas Hanna), is the brain's inability to consciously remember, whether or not a chronically tense muscle (either through injury or mental/emotional stress) needs releasing. This talk explores this concept and its role in some types of chronic pain and suggests a couple of techniques to begin the journey of "reawakening" the brain-body connection.
