The Blue Parrot

This French fairy tale centers on a young, wise ruler named Lino. His neighboring kingdom is governed by the Swan Fairy, who has a charming daughter, Princess Hermosa. The Swan Fairy's ambassador decides to bring Princess Hermosa and Lino together. As the young king starts the journey to the Swan Fairy's Kingdom, another neighbor, powerful magician Ismenor, who has a hideous daughter Riquette who is in love with Lino, works his evil spells to prevent the marriage of the young king with charming Princess Hermosa, including turning Lino into a parrot.
