The Four Gifts

Storyteller & Narrator
In Brittany, a woman named Barbaïk Bourhis lived with her niece Téphany, both working hard on their farm. Barbaïk was miserly and despised the poor, including Denis, a humble laborer who loved Téphany. A fairy granted Téphany gifts to improve her life: a pin for freedom, a feather for wisdom, and a necklace for beauty. However, each gift led to complications, revealing Denis’s true nature and bringing trouble rather than happiness. Eventually, the fairy advises Téphany to value her inner worth, teaching her that true wealth lies within oneself.
